AM Routine

Mom and RN

After years of being a stay at home mom I reentered the work force. It was daunting and exciting. My children were all of school age but I was used to throwing on a jump suit, helping them prepare to leave and running carpools. Once I returned home I had plenty of time to shower, dress and apply makeup. My life changed tremendously and the biggest help was laying out a workable schedule for everyone and mostly me. I was the one to run out without lipstick if we fell behind schedule!!!!

The Night Before

Take a quick shower at night if you prefer. Floss your teeth well before bedtime. Wash your face well and maybe even exfoliate with a good facial cleanser or quick relaxing face mask.

If you take your shower at night put your hair up and roll with 2 or 3 velcro rollers holding to hair well with clips or bobby pins. If you shower in AM put rollers on before your shower and let the steam do the work.

Lay out your clothes the night before. Don't belabor too much. Pick out your favorite outfit and relax with a good book.

Trick When I am too tired to wash my face and that does happen i love to use face cleansing wipes to take all my makeup off. I never go to bed without cleansing my face and my skin thanks me. I have a link to the wipes below. Although if you do have time to use a quick cleanser and then use your face wipe to finish up this would be best for your face.

Try to put something on your face to help and heal it while you sleep. ROC is a good product. Anything with some antioxidant qualities and collogen building would be great.

In Am

In the morning grab some coffee and head to the bathroom. Rinse face well or just use toner If you have washed your face well the night before you can skip this steip and go right to sunscreen unless you have super oily skin.. Put on plenty of creamy sunscreen. Sunscreen is your biggest beauty secret! Next dot a little make up on forehead, cheeks and chin. Smooth over face gently but thoroughly. Next take a brown eye liner crayon and run under bottom lashes and above upper lashes. Use same crayon for brows. Dot a little light concealer under your eyes. Gently dot in place with your ring finger. Curl your lashes. Heat with hairdryer if your eyes don't curl easily. Swipe mascara on upper and lower lashes. Next put some all day lipstick on your lips. Use a neutral tone that is close to your lip color. Run your makeup brush over your powder blush. Apply on apples of cheeks moving upward to hairline. Dot a little blush on forehead and chin and just below jaw line to give you a sun-kissed look. Next you can apply a little lip gloss with your finger tips.

Let down your hair. Shake out curls and lightly brush . Put on pretty headband or put your hair up in loose ponytail. Spray with light hairspray. Put on your favorite earrings.

Now you are ready to slip on either a casual outfit you picked out the night before or your work clothes. Grab some yogurt or toast and you are on your way.I like to hard boil some eggs and keep them in the fridge for some great protein in the AM. An orange is also great this time of year they are so sweet!
